So we arrived in Noosa on Thursday 14th quite late in the day, so didn't have much time to look arround. Staying at a hostel called dophins, which is right next to the beach which is lovely. However Noosa is made up of 4 different areas, so it meant that we were quite far away from the bigger shops. On Friday 15th (one month since we left home!) We travelled to a campsite, where we had signed up to do a canoeing trip at this bush camp. The first night we stayed in what they called dorms, but they were like reinforced hammocks. Lib and I both got woken up by soemone sleep walking and talking/shouting, so suprising didn't have a great nights sleep, especially as libby thought the guy was going to murder her... We then set off down the river, in canoes of 3 and we ended up with a very irritating german girl who didn't do anything and just left us to do all the work. Wasn't very impressed with her! We had a lovely barbi that night and tried a kanga banga! Then had our first night in the tent, which was pretty rubbish as it was raining, a lot and very cold. But we made it! Got eaten alive by mossys though.
On the sunday, we set off again, up the river this time and luckily it was just us in the canoe! Although the wind really picked up and it made it pretty difficult for us to get anywhere and people infront of us starting turning around, so we ended up doing the same. Which was a bit of a shame but the weather wasn't particularly nice and the destination was a beach! So we ended up playing pool and chilling out back at the camp. Had another barbi that evening and then had our last night in our lovely tent. Almost forgot the mention... the long drop was also a highlight for both of us!
So we left monday morning... We had a good weekend, enjoyed the actual canoeing but the rest was more of an experience rather than something we enjoyed! And now libby won't stop itching!
Back in Noosa now still raining unfortunately, so not able to go to the beach, which apparently was voted the 3rd best beach in the world!
Lots of love to everyone x
