We could have had an awesome sleep in but I set my alarm wrong for 8.30am which was still good but i probably needed the sleep. I thought I'd get on the net though and upload photos so got up and got ready on the first awesome shower in ages that wasn't cold, had to be pressed every 10 seconds or had to have the shower head held up. The computers weren't free though so I just came back up and lied down. Billie got ready then and we went to breakfast before leaving the hotel at 11am to go to the airport. When we got there I found an ATM to get money from and withdrew 500egyptian pounds. My money came out but I waited for my card first so I could put it away before touching the money (we were told it's very physically dirty and we needed to sanitize after touching it- it doesn't look too bad but still.) anyway I waited too long and the money got sucked back in. It recorded that it was taken out too :-(. I asked information and they said it should realize and go back in soon. I checked when we got to Aswan though ad it hadn't been fixed. I could only get the 200 out as that's about all that was left in my travelex card so I hope it's enough. On the way i was next to wael on the plane and he told me about the 500km lake which we were to fly over when landing that is the longest lake in the world. He also told me about the bruise looking mark on a lot of mens forehead being from praying 4 times a day with 5 bows head to ground each day since they were young. We got the bus then straight to the Nile where we had our felucca ride. It was nice and peaceful and made me wish the temperature was like it was on the day of George's boat. At the end they uncovered jewelry and thugs to buy and I got a bracelet with elephants and 2 wooden statues of a camel and hippo. We got off and drove to the boat ride over to the island where the sound and light show was and went over to the temple. The carvings were pretty cool ad interesting and the buildings were pretty in the different colored lights but it wasn't very exciting as the lights were just as if someone was turning different colored lights on and off at random times to highlight different walls and the sound part was a story which was a conversation between the water and temple and how it used to rise and cover the temple. I tuned out a bit and probably would have just preferred Steve or wael to tell us the story. We got back on the boat to the mainland and went back to check in. Seemed like a nice hotel and we went to dinner in the restaurant almost straight away before heading to bed before our early morning tomorrow.
