First day in Bulgaria, and I made it to a town called Bazlojka. This town formed when the "Fruit Garden of Bulgaria" arrived, or, was founded at least. The warm mineral springs (hence the name hot springs) are another natural wealth of the town, which transforms it into a wonderful spa centre to kick up your feet and relax. I made it safely to Bulgaria's capital, Sofia, last night, and my idea of this place is wow. First, there aren't the colorful lights like Berne or Valletta. But what can I say, I got to this country at midnight, so there wouldn't be any colorful lights. The hotel I'm staying at is the glamorous Les Fleurs Boutique. Tomorrow I'll find what is the most interesting attraction here in Sofia.

Returned to Bern from Davos. I leave on tonight's flight to Bulgaria. I spent almost an hour in the pool at my hotel. I could spend a life time here.

Still here in Davos. The weather here has cleared up enough so that I now can go out to ski. The snow is light and soft. I skied until noon; then I went on a sled ride. On the ride, I saw what looked like a Bernese Mountain Dog. When I got closer my mouth dropped; it was a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog! It's me again. So the latest news on my where-abouts is that it looks like I'll be here in Davos for at least two days. Why? Because I'm stuck here in the middle of a blizzard. The good news is that my other hotel said they wouldn't charge me for my abesence, and the money I would have spent there will be used to get a hotel here. Man did I get lucky. The hotel's name is Sunstar Parkhotel. So now I'm in the ski lodge enjoying my day by the fire.
