Arrived here in Sweden. My Flight got delayed for an hour back in Berlin. But I got here safe and sound. My hotel is Hotel Birger Jarl. It's a little modern for my taste, but I like it alright. Well I'm spent, Good night readers.

Just sitting here by my hotel pool enjoying myself before I leave for the airport this evening. Tonight I leave for the country that my mother's family came from, Sweden. Sweden, the land of the blonde hair and blue eyes, along with the all you can eat buffets of fish boiled in milk served with sweet rye bread, YUM!

Last night it snowed here in Berlin, about 8 inches. Anyway, I went to the 1936 Olympic arena. It's where the famous black athlete, Jesse Owens showed Hitler that this imperfect man could beat his pretty boys, Ha! Take that Mr. Hitler! Anyway it's been my dream to be in an Olympic arena and see where records were made, dreams created and crushed, and where history was made. I wish I could run like a lightning bolt or soar like an eagle. Maybe I could set a world ...

Today I went to The Holocaust Museum. The dark grey building looked sad and lonely. To add the mood it was raining outside. Inside I felt sick to learn about the MILLIONS of Jews who were murdered during the Nazi reign of terror. I'm going to stop there. This train of thought has run right off the tracks. I passed-out during lunch when I heard two old men talking. So I'll see you tomorrow.

Today I went to the Berlin Zoo. I know I could go to a zoo anywhere, but this zoo is one of the largest in the world; it has over 1,400 different species of animals. The weather was grey and wet; it rained then snowed. Despite the weather, I had a great time. The zoo had gorillas, cute polar bears, seals, lions, sea lions, zebras, panthers, lemurs, clouded leopards, hippos, and my all-time favorite, WOLVES.
