Had a look at the kuchawe inn on the web. It looked lovely. The views down into the Rift valley looked amazing!! The tales of the baboons at the hotel sounded a little scary- hope they didn't try to make you two their new best friends!!
Hope you have had some nice food while you were there - get you ready to eat rice and beans for the rest of the week!
Its lovely being able to follow your adventures, don't feel cut off from you in the least. Keep the blogs coming!!
Have a good week 2 at the hospital.
Love you loads

Hello girlies!!
It sounds like you guys are having an amazing time...your clinical skills will be amazing by the time you get back! We started at the hospital last week and are currently doing surgery in a goverment hospital...big culture shock doesn't sound quite as poor as yours but not far off! They wear flip flops into surgery, and the room is separated by a curtain...its pretty crazy. We saw the goriest feet we have ever seen, they were diabetic and all the flesh had been gouged away, in surgery they cut more of the dead flesh and puss away and cut off more toes..ewwwww!! it should have been amputated as there was practically no foot left. jess and Pav have already had Deli belly so i'm waiting for my turn.
You sound like you are more than coping, let me know if you get to do that lumbar puncture, it sounds very cool!!
love you both lots

Hi to you both!
Sounds like you're having the time of your lives already...as suspected. Needless to say, I am painfully jealous.
Laura, i'm not sure i can quite get my head around you being there yet...in fact, moreso being anywhere without hair straighteners. I've known you a long time and i've never seen you without them...have you gone completely mad?
Keep the blogs coming and give the monkeys what for!
Stay safe,
Lots of love xxxx

Hi there,
Instead of reading The Times everyday I am going to tune into yours and Matthew's blog as they are more exciting that the real news and all the horrible shootings and stabbings - we have had one this week up the road in Letchworth ( Nesta lives there! )
Really chuffed for you - enjoy every moment. Keep happy and safe. Love the Sillars xxx

Hello Bridesmaid!
And I remember when the most adventurous thing you'd ever done was come to Liverpool on the train! Bet you haven't packed your Little Mermaid video for this trip! Great to hear you both arrived safely. Remember lip gloss in fridge. Trish xxx

Hi guys!
You have no idea how unbelievably jealous I am of you guys. Hearing you talking about Dar gives me sooooo many memories!
You will really really love Malawi and especially Zomba. The people are so so nice and it is one of my favourite places in the world. Please don't hesitate to get in touch whenever you like if you have any questions about Malawi or Zomba. If you get the chance please do go to the school I worked in. Chikupira Model School. I gave Laura the details. The kids will love to see nice white people. Mr Chilimba is a total legened too.
I am SOOOOOOO jealous of you guys you have no idea. I hope you have such an amzing time like I did! Zomba rocks!

Hi Laura and Emily.
Well you're off on your great african adventure. Hope you managed to get all your belongings there safely and that the 4 stone rucksacks didn't roll over onto you and flatten you both! Bet the security at Heathrow thought you were a bit strange with 100 odd pens, frisbees, eye masks, rubber gloves and a stethoscope in your hand luggage not to mention a copy of Hello magazine alongside the medical text book. Can only assume they let you through as have had no call to pick you up?
Seriously hope you had some good flight food and got a bit of sleep. Enjoy every minute of the experience both of you and look after each other.
