Went to Boston from 08/03 - 09/03. We had our connecting flight to LA from here so it was only a short stay.
We stayed in the Prescott International Hostel on Church Street. From the greyhound station we had to catch the subway and then get a bus to get there which cost about $2.50 each. The hostel is quite far away from main Boston which we knew but as we were only there for 1 night we weren't too bothered! Having said that, the hostel itself was class! It was more like a hotel. We stayed in a 4 bed male dorm en-suite. There was some Taiwan dude stayin in there called Chaz as well!! In the living area there were 2 massive TVs, couches, tables and free internet which was a bonus!
For the short time we were there the weather wasn't the best! When we arrived it was pouring down and the next day it was sunny and clear but absolutely freezin!! On the Sunday we were going to do some tourist stuff in Boston, as there is a bit of history there, but realised the buses were runnin on Sunday service and had our flight to LA later that night so didnt wanna risk getting back late ... so instead we saw that there was a mall on the bus map so thought we would walk there. Instead, we just got lost for a couple of hours and were all freezin lol
Also that mornin Walks tried to microwave some pop tarts for breakfast, only 10 seconds later to see the room filled with smoke and the fire alarm went off!!!! 5 minutes later 3 fire engines turn up!!! it was well funny. walks was pretty embarrassed lol me an andy were pissin ourselves!!
So we didn't end up doing much in Boston. Even though we didn't do much, there isn't really that much to see anyway. There's just a bit of history to see. So it wasn't really worth going to Boston but not to worry!!
