ok so i hope this works. Arrived here in bangkok about two hours ago or something, managed to get to the hotel which is top notch and dumped my bags before heading out for a little evening stroll. When i got here i noticed on the info board today is the first day of Thai new year!!!!!!! RESULT!!!!!

Headed the block or two to the Khaosan Road to have a little looksie. Mental!!!!! Not the tourist trap i thought but full of thai peoplke squirting everyone with massice water pistols, throwing buckets of water over everyone who dares to be out on the streets and slapping this white clayn stuff on the faces of passers by!!!!! As i write this i am sitting back at the hotel soacked to the bone with white stuff all over my face, and i tought i'd just soak up a bit of the atmosphere, got more than i bargained for!!!! Its awesome!!!

The atmosphere here is so different from Egypt and its such a relief, no one stares or hasstles you as you walk down the street, got off the plane and wasn't pulled apart by taxi drivers trying to get me to their hotel!!!!

Did have a numpty moment as i got off the plane thogh, went to the wrong luggage carousell and waited tilkl all the bags were off before freaking out that my bag was lost and then a nice friendly man shook his head at me and took me to the right one where my bag was sitting waiting patiently for me!!!! hehehe, what can i say, it was a long two flights and i didnt get much sleep!!!!

My mobile dosnt get any kind of reception here so it'll be this email stuff and the odd phone call that will be keeping me in touch!!!

Its almost 10 in the evening here and i'm sweating its so hot, can't wait for tomorrow!!!! haha.

anyhoo, i'm off for a shower and bed.
