So we turned up at our accomadation today, after a 30km taxi journey and a night on the sleeper train to be told that there was no room for us, even though we had paid up front. The whole situation was suspicious, the guy then told us he had phoned his director ( strange terms for a homestay) and would be able to offer a room for double the price at another homestay, but for us he would offer it at a reduced rate, but still a huge supplement to our original pric...

So we arrived in Vietnam yesterday. Much to Ryans suprise we made it outside of the airport without being pick pocketed, and took a bus into town to get to the guesthouse we are staying at. All without knowing any vietnamese. Today we made it to the train station and bought our onward tickets for tomorrow and wednesday. Tomorrow morning we are taking a local train 3 hours north to the town of Phan Thiet, a fishing village. On wednesday we will be taking a sleep...
