Law & Stu's Honeymoon Adventure
Hi Guys, yep were in Sydney and its stunning! Our last two days in NZ were amazing, we spent time in Kaikoura and had booked to swim with dolphins but the b*****s didn't show!
Arrived in Sydney on Monday and it was 30 degrees, the humidity over hear is pretty intense so when we checked into our next hostel we were met with the joy of no air con!!!! We had a sleepless night and demanded a fan the following day, a brand spanking new one arrived but to say it was worse than useless is an understatement, we nicknamed this one "The Sauna". Okay so Tuesday we another roasting day and we spent the whole day (from 8.30am till 11.30pm) strolling the streets, visiting the sights and drinking beers opposite the harbour bridge and opera house whilst listening to an Aborigine play techno didgeridoo. Our fave track was "cry of a dingo".... Stu's bought the cd!!!! Not seen any spiders yet but I seem to be attracting the bugs, so far ive had a cockroach crawl up my leg and two rather strange looking bugs land on me (not good.... I screamed the place down!).
Wednesday we faced our FEAR again and climbed the harbour bridge - it took 3 hours and was wicked. Our tour guide Dee was the best, she was so funny and entertaining it really made the experience all the more amusing. Wednesday was a whole lot cooler (about 22 so was the best day to do the climb). That night we sat by the harbour and drank, drank, drank........... I swear we're turning into alcoholics, so far we have only had one night off the beer! On saying that we've only had a few really late nights.... too much to see and do in the day for hangovers from hell. As night falls over Sydney hundreds of bats descend across the sky's... their massive fruit bats and the sky was literally filled with them.
Today we're in Bondi Beach and have just checked into our next hostel and our waiting for the room to be ready so decided to update the blog while we wait. God I hope this hostels better that the last!!!! The weather today is a lot cooler and quite overcast so not sure we will be topping up the tans!
Photies to arrive soon.
