Hey,

We have been in Bali now for 5 nights. Our plans did change as when we got to Padangbai it was so quiet and diff e rent from having been in a big group that the thought of going to Lombok where it would have been e ven quieter did not appeal so Sez and i headed back to kuta where life is just a little more bustly and lively. So far we have had two days of surfing lessons (2.5 hours per day- plenty as so knackering) You should have seen me on my first run!...i was so extatic that i was laughing/screeming and waving my arms about whilst still steering the board!! Lost the knack a little today but realised my hands weren't far enough back to give me enough strength to stand up so i can sort it tomorrow. My teacher is lovely, his name is Bukit (bucket as i call him - he loves it!!) It's our last day tomorrow but i think i might have an extra one on saturday as its such fun. The boys have joined us again in Kuta. They arrived back this evening and we had a little knock on our door!! Was very exciting to catch up with them again even though its only been a few days. I guess you get used to certain things, companionship being one of them.

It is incredibly hot here - too hot to stand on the sand even, but its all preperation for Aussi which apparently was 41 degrees last friday!! Im going to hit the hay now. Our room has air con as we d ecided we couldn't do without it after a very bad night in Pudangbai with only an inofficiant fan!
