Hello Lovelies, Hope all is well.

I am now in Bali, in Kuta beach. It is lovely but there a re far more beautiful places to see. We arrived late last night and found some cheap accomodation which was a complete s*** hole. Our room was disgusting. The drainage in the sink was full of cigarette buts and there was dirt all around. The boys have decided to go to Ubud (i think) it is inland and apparently very arty. Sara and i are staying in Kuta tonight (in much nicer accom, with aircon and only costing 3 pounds) and tomorrow we are going to Punangbai. We will stay there a night and then get the ferry over to Lombok, to Saragigi (if thats the spelling!!). It is the main backpacker place on Lombok so may need a few days there before going to Gili Islands (look them up - they look s tunning) Will most likely then head back down to Bali for a few days of surf lessons before getting back to Kuta to fly out of Denpasar. Thats the plan anyway. Hopefully hook back up with the guys along the way.

Today we brought a lonely planet guide for Bali and Lombok - really helpful. We had lateish breckie and then got onto the beach. So many people offered to teach us to surf!! They all come out with some absolute classic one liners - i got called a spice girl today, 'hey gorgeous' 'hey you dropped something...(turn around to see them picking something up) your smile' Can see that the Indonesian experience is going to be a real giggle!!
