Hola, Well another amazing day today - really soaking up India! Iv decided that it is growing on me as a country which is so vastly different, guess im just getting used to it. This morning we took a local bus into old Delhi with our tour guide who we met last night. What a crease up guy he is. His name is Ajid - he has a lisp and finds everything funny! Particularly when i head counted the members of our group pretending i was the guide! (had to be there really) I have not met everyone on the tour yet as some people were arriving from a previous tour late last night. We are the youngest people on the tour and there will be 13 people all together. There's an older couple from Adelade - the man looks like a spitting image of santa (shame he wont be around at christmas!) and he had a very big debate with a seek leader guy before we went into a seek temple, which was pretty cringing! We fully looked the part with bare feet and head scarfs!. We also visited a muslim mosque which was largest in India. We hopped on cycle rickshaws (actually i got on very carefully as they really don't feel stable) to get around the narrower market streets - At times i didn't know wheher to laugh or cry due to being so scared but smiles work wonders when you are being stared at by the masses that you weave past in the market streets! Am actually getting my head round the idea that it isn't rude to stare over here! We stopped off in Connaught Place on the way back from the old town and i tried to hunt down a camera shop so that i can upload some piccies (i forgot the camera lead) but it was closed - typical! We then took the metro (just like the london tube) but Ajid got confused and we were going in the wrong direction so we got off and back into a tuktuk which after yesterdays crash made me very edgy indeed!! When we got back to our Swati Duleuxe hotel we were told the boys room was no longer available as they were fixing something so we have all moved to a different hotel - i was not amused as we are up at 6am tomorrow to go to Agra and have to walk back to the hotel we were at! Anyway, better stop hogging this incredibly slow pc. Lots of love to you all x x x x
