Today we took the kids to the Palace of Versailles. We have some lovely photos of the amazing building and gardens. The kids didn't like the Palace and especially the crowds. They couldn't wait to get out of the gilded rooms, painted ceilings and opulent furniture. We then had a lovely lunch in the restaurant in the Palace Gardens. We set out yesterday off 5 hours sleep (thanks the the kids) without the strollers to see the Eiffel Tower. The queue for the elevator had to be 1000 people long at 11am. So we strapped Camilla on our back and Harvey walked up all 670 steps without any help. Here's proof of his accomplishment.

New language, new city, new apartment for the week. Kids find the cobblestone streets very soothing in the prams and happily slept the walk to their new home. The floors are so uneven in this old apartment that Camilla keeps walking into the table!
