Day 25! And officially the half way point of our trip. The motel we're staying in has free breakfast, and it's been the best free breakfast we've had so far. They had eggs and sausages and a waffle maker, so of course we took full advantage! We headed downtown and saw broadway and the Ryman auditorium and a few other sights around the city and then went to pick up our hire car. We drove out to Lynchburg to the Jack Daniels distillery where we did the free tour. It was really cool and interesting, and in a beautiful setting! After the tour we went to the Lynchburg town square, which was... Interesting. It was kind of like stepping back in time to a mid 1800s cowboy town. But with anti-Obama, anti-Clinton and extremely racist posters and bumper stickers for sale in all the shops! We passed so many trailer parks and bail bond shops, and they even have anti-Obama adverts on the radio, it's a completely different world down here. When we got back from Lynchburg we met the Jenvey-Ham family for dinner at Pucketts, which was so good! The food was lovely and there was a live country singer playing in the restaurant. We had such a laugh with them! When we left dinner we managed to catch the end of a free concert at the river, then went to a bar called The Stage where a band called Johnny T were playing, who were really good! Might end up a country music fan by the time we leave Nashville.. L x

Mama Sounds brilliant - apart from the weird political stuff though! x
