Hi all

We are writing this blog update from Ilha Santa Catarina - we leave here today heading for Montevideo, Uruguay. It is currently raining enormous cats and dogs out there... think we might get a touch on the wet side en route to getting our coach later this morning. Time for our macs to come out!

So since our last blog update we went to Foz do Iguacu where we saw the beautiful Iguacu Falls... what a sight! They were really impressive and on the Argentinian side we got up close and wet on a boat ride. Met a lovely Maltese couple there (who were also on their honeymoon) and had a real good dinner at a churrascaria (like a bbq restaurant) - lots of delicious meats so Paul was in heaven!

After Iguacu another over night coach to Florianopolis which is on the south coast of Brazil and connects to Ilha Santa Catarina... just gorgeous here.... we´ve had 2 glorious days on sunshine and heat, so Tuesday was beach day - very chilled, books, beers, sand, sea... and then yesterday we went on a 2 hour 15 walk to a cute fishing village where we had a seriously yummy lunch.... good to work off some of the excesses we´ve been indulging in... ie food and caipirinhas! Which are yummy too.... 4 of those sends you off on a real good nights sleep.

Well that´s it in a nutshell... we´re having a really chilled out time, enjoying the travelling around as well as the stopping time in places to check them out. Meeting some lovely people on the way too which is always nice.

Brazil done, Uruguay next.....
