hello everyone! sorry this is a bit delayed in getting to you but we've just had so much to do!!

got up so early on saturday morning for our flight here but everything went well and our flight even got here early!! both quite tired but managed to stay awake all day and found our bearings...

our hostel is another 'Base' one like queenstown but is very different, lots of re-decorating going on etc but its still good.. we're in a really good location, right by a big shopping area, yep leathal!!!close to food shops etc.. and only about a 15 min walk down to the harbour and area called circular quay where all the ferries and buses go from.

first day we walked down to circular quay and got some pictures of the opera house, bridge etc and it was suprisingly hot! we had been warned that sydney had had 2 weeks of rain but the sun was obviously following us from queenstown! went to Bondi beach on the Sunday to make the most of the sunny weather while it lasted, neither of us realised how strong the sun is here and when we got up to leave had a few red patches but nothing major!! it was quite windy so we hadnt felt the heat, woops. when we got back we decided to head over to manly beach on the ferry for a nice meal so went over there and had great steak!! really nice evening but very very tired

other than that we've done lots of walking around the shops, (and been suprisingly restrained!) and general touristy things!! been to most of the typical spots and sights and had a lovely time..

oh yeah and we went to the sydney aquarium! really good walk through tunnels with massive sharks, rays, turtles etc.. amazing!!

we are leaving early in the morning on thursday on our oz experience bus up to a surf camp place just south of byron bay (which we've heard is beautiful, hot with amazing beaches!!)... so we will keep you posted on how the tans are coming along and if we have managed to ride and waves!! miss you all lots and speak soon xxxxxx
