Apologies for the ridiculously long time since I have written I really don't know where the time has gone. So four months has passes and the last time we spoke Mum and Dad was going home and Lau and I were going our separate ways.
I never really got the chance to say thanks to M&D for coming out, I had the most amazing time with you both and I love and miss you more than anything. While they were here we spent some time in Cairns, went to Port Douglas and then up to Cape Trib. Port Douglas was beautiful, we were in a stunning little apartment on the beach and were spoilt with good weather and amazing food. Heading up to Cape Trib we signed up for a little bit of White Water Rafting...after the 1 ½ hour hike we arrived at the top covered in leeches and ready to jump into our two man rafts…Lau and I were the only boat not to fall out…go team Fowlard!!! Chris and Steve didn't do too badly eitherand we all made it safely to the end of the run! Trying to remember what else we did is all a bit of a blur now, partly because it was so long ago but mainly because of the alcohol consumption over the three weeks they were here…yes there were some very messy night, M&D were introduced into backpacker nightlife and fully lived up to the challenge…don't even moan about my drunken antics it is clear to see where I get it from!!!
So then everyone left me, I nearly had a heart attack saying bye to Lau, it honestly felt like I was losing a part of myself. We had the most amazing 5 months and I wouldn't have wanted to be with anyone else, I love you chick and gutted your not still here with me. My flight left after Lau's and it was equally as painful saying good bye to Mum and Dad especially as Mum was so well composed and kept reminding me that I was going to be on the other side of the world on my own…reassuring mum, thanks again for that!
Tears over I flew back to Sydney, Blake met me at the airport and I moved into my new home in Pymble and have been residing at the Wickenden's for the past four months. They have been amazing, they are like family and I don't know how I am ever going to say good bye! After a few weeks of PA and receptionist jobs LexisNexis picked me back up and I have been working for them doing UX work. Sydney is wicked, if you guys all moved here I would move here tomorrow. I have been trying to see and do as much as I can since I have been back but if I am completely honest it has all revolved around alcohol! Dom who I lived with at uni is also living in Sydney so we have done a few cultural activities such as the MCA, Paddington Market, Paddy's Market, City Walks and a visit to where they film Home and Away…very exciting!
The weather is finally getting warm again and the weekend before last we went to Shaun's friends holiday home in Summerland Point which was AMAZING. Its on a massive piece of land and they have quad bikes, boats, jetskis, pool, pool table, motor bikes…it was soooooooooooooooo much fun!
Oh almost forgot before the weekend away LexisNexis sent me to New Zealand for two weeks….wooohoo!!! Obviouslyhad to work while I was there but still managed to have lots of fun! I went to Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch. NZ is such a beautiful country and everyone is so nice! Everyone from the NZ office was lovely and took me out for drinks and dinner and when I got to my hotel in Hamilton there was a massive group of English rugby lads on tour who were going to all the same places as me so had some company from them as well!
I am sorry it has taken me so long to write this, I miss you all heaps and will be better from now on.
Love lots xXx
