This morning we checked out of the hostel and were allowed to leave our bags there for the day until we set off to the airport later. We headed into the city on the tram and got off at the Royal Victoria Market - a huge, open-air market in the centre of Melbourne. Laura was on the hunt for some Christmas presents for Ruby and Rosie and we managed to find one that she liked after hunting around dozens of stalls that all sold the same t-shirts; Ruby's present will have to wait… We also picked up an obligatory souvenir boomerang and I got some new boxers - a successful shopping trip!
After stopping for something to eat at the food court, we navigated our way back through Melbourne and out to St. Kilda where we had a walk along the pier and took a few photos. It was soon time to head to the airport to meet Ray and Maria, who were flying in from Perth. Our $16 airport bus got us there with no problems and we found Ray and Maria at baggage claim - it was good to see them again after six months!
We picked up our hire car and were on our way to Torquay, at the end of the Great Ocean Road - our second visit after passing through a couple of weeks ago! This time we're staying at a timeshare place called Bellbrae Country Resort and we finally arrived at about 10pm. First impressions of the unit were very good - plenty of space for us all, including our own en-suite!

Maria Bailey Good to be able to share memories with you for a couple of weeks. Was great to see you both again and to spend some time (and LOTS of money) with you for a short time. Happy days xxx
