As of today, we've been away a whole month - the time has gone by so fast! Today we woke up about 11am after our big night out and waited for T to arrive at our hotel. He had to check out of the Luxor but wanted one more night in Vegas, so we insisted he stayed with us on our pull-out bed. He eventually arrived at about 1pm after getting a late check-out (it must have been hard to get up and pack after the night before!) After giving him a quick tour, we all went back to sleep again for a few hours.
The next time we got up, Laura and T decided to venture out to find food. Laura was desperate to visit 'The World's Largest Gift Shop', which was up the road from the hotel. I decided to leave them to it, and I'm glad I did - apparently, the shop was full of Vegas tat and not much else, and Laura only bought a couple of postcards. She couldn't even find a magnet she liked to add to our collection! They picked up food from Subway and we ate it back at the hotel.
As it was T's last night, we decided to go out and catch some of the free shows that we hadn't yet seen. We cuaght the bus to the Bellagio and watched the fountains for a while. Two pretty ordinary shows to classical songs were followed at 9pm by a full display to 'All That Jazz', which was worth the wait. Definitely one of the best things you can see in Vegas for free!
T left us at this point to go up the Eiffel Tower outside the Paris Hotel (a half size replica of the original offering spectacular views of the Strip. Apparently the tower was originally designed to be full size but the airport was deemed to be too close so the tower had to be shrunk!) So we headed to Treasure Island to see the pirate battle show. We weren't impressed - very cheesy and a bit daft - so we left after ten minutes and went to Walgreens to stock up on toiletries for the next part of our trip!
We ended up back at the hotel before midnight, which is early when you're on Vegas time! Did a bit of washing and that was our Thursday!
