Today we went to Sea World. We went to 3 animal shows fed seal lions and went on a slow ride up a tower, also we saw a group of Amish women and their children. We first went the dolphin nursery where there were two 8 month calfs and two mothers also some female dolphins. Then we went and saw the seal and otter show which was quite funny as some things didn't go to plan. Then we walked to the Shamu show and we found a seat then a CRAZY American couple asked if they could sit next to us and we said yes. Crazy couple, crazy, but the show was amazing.
Then we headed over to The Arctic were we went into this room and found out it wasn't all we were expecting.
It said we are going to go on a helicopter ride over the arctic which can get VERY bumpy. So after the ride we go and follow the corridor round and we come out in another room where there was a wall of ice and there was a massive deep pool with two beluga whales, we tried taking pictures but they where too quick.
Then we followed the trail and there was an enclosure, and up the top was a polar bear sleeping you could only see the top of his head. I kept saying that 'all the animals don't appreciate people staring at them all day' (they probably don't like it). Next tank I thought was empty but we'll get back to that. So we continue along the trail and next to the ramp to get downstairs is a model of a bear cave and tunnels, so I climbed in and mum took a picture of me, then we walk down the ramps downstairs and see a big group gathered around a window, so I fought my way to the front and I saw a massive Walrus with massive tusks and it was gently slapping the window, this was what i thought was the empty tank, after I got a few good pictures I went back out of the crowd and found mum and we moved on and saw the whales from under the water at the side of the tank.
After Antarctica we found that we were hungry so we looked at the map to see what restaurants were in that area, so we came to a decision that we would go to 'Mango Joes', and we both had a chicken plater each since they were small, so we found a table and we planned what we were going to do next.
So what we did next was this we headed in over to the dolphin and whale show but when we got there we had a time check and we had a half an hour wait, so we checked out the stingrays and dolphin cove the rays didn't seem that bothered that people were touching their backs they seemed quite contempt and some were encouraging people by hitting the side with there fins I didn't want to touch them but mum did touch one. Then we went to dolphin cove were you could feed the dolphins but we didn't want to so we just went to watch them and we were there for 5-10 minuets just watching them swim, after we walk down to the stadium entrance and it was still closed so we decided to look at Pacific Point Preserve, as we walked round the corner we could hear a racket, so we decided to investigate and found people feeding the seals, at first we said that we didn't want feed them but then we saw that there was a really sad looking seal and everyone was missing him out, so we were like we should feed him, he was beautiful with a brown sort of fur, but when I through the first fish a bird snatched it and the seal looked even sadder so I threw it another one that it caught , then there was another seal who was waving at me to get a fish but when I threw it at him I missed and he went back into the water so the fish fell down the rock that the seal is perched on and lands in a small gap were the two rocks met and a bird grabbed it, :-(. Then a photographer comes over to us and says ' I took a photo of you throwing a fish to a seal, if you want to see it then there is a photo stand were you can see it' we were just like 'OK' so we go over to the stand and we bought the photo because I think we're going to make a book of our holiday.
We make our way to the back entrance of the dolphin and whale stadium and it still wasn't open at that point we get a drink, because we we were thirsty and we go find a bench to sit on cos our feet were really sore. Eventually at about 4.25 they open the stadium for people to get seats so I power walk up to get us good seats and I get us seats one row up from the 'reserved seats' (special seats for special people who have special VIP passes)
The show was really good and I filmed a lot of it do I could watch it when I got back to the hotel room.
After the show we just went back to the hotel and fell asleep.
