Arrived in Rotorua late afternoon, found a campsite right on the lake so decided to feed the nice friendly looking black swans that then attacked us, luckily we ran away really fast. Then we found a supermarket where we spent hours getting all stocked up for the road. Cooked some dinner and hit the sack.
The next day we went to the park in Rotorua, have I mentioned the town stinks of Sulphur (rotting eggs) because its a geothermal area, and so got amazed by the bubbling pools of mud and steam rising from the ground and drains. We then wanted to go to a Maori village but they wanted an extortionate amound of money to go into it and see the Geyers so missed it out and headed straight to Taupo stopping off at some beautiful Hukka falls.
Arrived in Taupo and booked a skydive and then headed to a place called craters of the moon to see more Geothermal activity for very little money and then we went to a prawn farm so laura called play golf over the prawn beds but it was shut so we went to a campsite cooked some din dins and slept covered in 3 duvets.
The next morning we headed off to the airport and went skydiving was sooo amasing slightly surreal and bloody freezing. You're travelling so fast that it takes your breath away and you find it hard to breath in the really cold air, but the views were awesome!
Then we headed to another park cooked some lunch and then Laura relaxed in a thermal waterfall while kate went for a walk along the river.
Then we headed off towards Wellington stopping off for the night somewhere inbetween.
