Hey everybody!,
Can't believe it's the 26th of July! It means that I've been here 3 weeks and only have one week left!! Sad times! I'm sure the last week will fly by and I'll be back to reality with a bump soon enough.
So since I last posted I've been doing more of the same, teaching, helping in the home, eating, drinking, reading, chill axing. It's been swell. I have been doing lots of shopping for myself and lovely people at home. However I am getting pretty sick of the bartering and am looking forward to just paying the price on the sticker.
So today I was at the monastery watching Coralline and transformers with the monks. I then had lunch and as nice as it is to be invited I'm not a fan of Buffalo curry or chili with whole tiny fish (they even had eyes and everything! : S) It's kind of hard to refuse a lunch invitation from a really nice monk!
Then in the afternoon myself, Tenzin lama, Peter and Sonam Wangchuk Shepa (I wish my English teacher could've had such a cool name!) went to Boudha. It was nice we walked round the stupa and I pondered life. (Whilst the heavens opened!) We then went to a nice rooftop restaurant so even more relaxing to be had.
I'm really going to miss the easy going way of life I'm experiencing here in Nepal, but it probably is about time I started looking for a job instead of just running off to monasteries.
I also am going to paint a mural at the children's home with Hedy and Sharon (two other volunteers) so I need to channel some artistic aura or something! I'm not sure what we're going to paint but I'm determined to brighten that place up a bit! :D
Also just wanted to say thanks for all the lovely messages from home (especially my Mum and Dad) while I'll be really sad to leave Nepal I equally can't wait to see everyone back home again!
Love to you all!
