Ok so I'm now in Cape Town, and actually about to leave again.

Since I last wrote I had my last week in the Lion Park in Kroonstad, which was amazing. I'm really hoping to go back there soon and see how the cubs are growing up! I have found out that since I left there have been 8 more lion cubs born though! I have to say a small part of me is glad not to be there - it was hard enough looking after 2 - let alone 10!

Anyway my second week was a lot of the same as the first - looking after the cubs, cleaning enclosures etc etc. On the Friday though Pieter, the farm owner, turned up with a collection of his guns and took us shooting for the morning. I have now fired a hand gun, shot gun and machine gun!

I've now been in Cape Town since Monday. Had a minor drama when I got here when I realised I'd left my purse on the plane. It was all fine though, I managed to get through to the airline and they had it - so I just had to go back to the airport the next day to pick it up.

While I've been here I've done all the touristy things - Robben Island, Table Mountain, Boulder Beach (to see the Penguin colony), The Cape of Good Hope. It's been a very chilled out week - just what I need as the overland trip starts tomorrow and I've a feeling it's going to be pretty exhausting from now on!

I'm not sure if I'll have the opportunity to update this again for a while as I don't think there is extensive wifi coverage in the Namib desert! :P Anyways, I'll update whenever I can - I'm not gonna tell you too much though - I need stories for when I get back!!
