Hey everyone it's Laura,

We thought we would write a blog entry asap as we're sure you want to know what we're up to. The adventure started at Heathrow where after 10mins apart from our parents we found ourselves queueing for a random Sri Lankan airlines flight rather than BA! Great start considering it's a London airport we have been to before and everyone speaks English!! Anyway, we evetually checked in and had to rearrange some seating on the flight as we weren't originally sat togther!

We arrived at Mumbai airport and everything was very straight forward. I organised a non-airconditioned cab (i expect if Lily had booked it we would have had air-con!) and we made our way to the hotel in the most old-fashioned ricketty excuse for a cab! Somehow we made it to the hotel alive after a few close shaves!

We made our way into Mumbai on the train which was easy and spent the afternoon walking around the city. We walked around the markets and along the beachfront. We are getting used to being starred at and having our photos taken. We get the impression that the city is not very touristy, we spotted very few white people. We stopped for dinner at a restaurant and the food was gorgeous and very cheap. We then decided to order tea and it was the fowlest thing i have ever tasted so we wont be making that mistake again! We are now back at the hotel after a long journey back in a very crowded train where i clung on to tommorrows breakfast of bread with my life, and we are planning on getting an early night ready for a full day of sightseeing tommorrow.
