I haven't written for a few days, because the internet hasn't been working here. Well, it works but it's shockingly slow and takes about an hour to load something, so I gave writing blogs a miss, otherwise it would have taken me days to post them!
The past few days have been pretty busy at work. We had a very hectic day yesterday (Sunday) and it was made more stressful when a member of our team makes everyone else do double the work because they take forever about everything they do! They've already had some warnings, but doesn't seem to change anything. They're not even lazy - just super slow and lacking initiative! I could go on, but I don't want to end up ranting.
After a long day yesterday, we drove to Hinton after work and did a small food shop and went straig.ht to bed when we got in. However, didn't sleep very well as housemates were very noisy.
Today (Monday) was a better day. Jacob and I got to work together in our own team, so we got things done a lot faster. We finished work at 3:30pm, then had to 'volunteer' with all the other staff to help clean the site for summer. It was worth it, as the chef cooked us all homemade pizzas, which were rather delicious. Lots of flavours too - vegetarian, bbq chicken, pepperoni, hawaiian, mozarella and bacon! We were also allowed some beverages, so I had a breezer and Jacob tried some Canadian beer which he said was average.
Now it's 7pm and I'm showered and in my pyjamas, about to watch a film with a good mug of English breakfast tea, which I made sure to get a big box of in Vancouver, incase they had limited supply in Alberta! (Though they do have it here and it's always on offer - bonus!)
A note for Mum: They sang 'Hit the road Jack' at work today and it made me think of you, as you always sang it in the car on the way to taking us to the childminders at silly o'clock to chirp us up!
