Feeling sad that it was our last day at the bakery, I had a cheddar roll and a cashew chocolate brownie and Alice had some pastries.
We walked down Koh San Road, looking at the stalls and occasionally taking a break and lying on our rucksacks because of the heat (I had massive sweat rings by the time we had walked to the bus stop). A lady asked what bus we were getting, and when we replied '47' she shrieked and hurried her children along because it was there, which I found very funny. We got a tuk-tuk to the internal booking office to leave our rucksacks and then had lunch in the food centre of our beloved MBK. Mine was Vietnamese pork noodle soup with a kiwi smoothie, and Alice had tofu and a papaya-banana-mango smoothie, followed by a banana waffle. Then we went to Panthip Plaza- a shopping centre apparently good for buying computers from. I chose a Toshiba notebook and am supposed to get a tax refund from it but I think I can only claim it if we fly out the country.
I had spicy ginger chicken with rice and a coconut ice cream (from the food court, obviously) and Alice had ice cream and a coconut waffle and then we went to get our bus to Chiang Mai.
Pillows and blankets were provided, and we were given a snack pack of a jelly drink, wafer biscuits and chocolate coconut cookies, as well as a snacks and drink voucher for the service station, which we exchanged for a chocolate soya bean drink. However we broke down, and have been in the sample place for 7 hours! It doesn't seem like they're sending a replacement bus, and are just repeatedly trying to fix it!
