Late start! (At least it was the latest since we have arrived to Europe.) Time: 9:30. Woohoo! Unfortunately, it wasn't necessarily a late start for one sister. Don't worry about her though, she was playing Farm Frenzy on the itouch.
Once both sisters were up and ready, we bought lunch which was made up of small yogurt packages with a box of chocolate muesli to add to the yogurt. I'm sure you can guess which sister humored the other sister's dietary tastes. We ate the Rocio-like dish in a square watching a small yapping dog.
As is tradition for the Petersen girls, lunch was followed be Retiro Park. Here we laid in the shade listening to music and reading, meanwhile being harrassed by giant, flesh-eating ants. At least, that's how one sister reacted when she would find one on her. (No, it wasn't Rocio.)
We then went to the Reina Sofia museum for free to attempt to contemplate yet again the meanings behind modern art. Here we skipped a few rooms, walked past art we could had done ourselves, and saw one of Picasso's paintings that everyone should know and recognize. One Petersen girl obviously didn't get this worldwide memo. First, she had never heard it and second, she has never seen it. Yup, it's the famous "La Guernica" that we have as our blog picture. (How was I supposed to know that weird painting was famous? I get it NOW after it was explained, but I don't think Rocio should roll her eyes at my lack of weird art non-knowledge!)
Since the weird art museum which we suprisingly spent a whole hour in, mainly because we couldn't find the exit, we have been shopping. We both bought dresses. Rocio has 2 dresses and Constanza now has...5! Quite a successful day I would say.
Hey, ask me what we had for dinner! Yeah, you guessed; more yogurt with muesli! (I should be paid I spoil her so much!)
