One person said to me one day: "You will see, you come here and then you will find out you don't wanna leave anymore. Hay tanto cariño aqui que no querrás irte!".
And, apparently, this someone was right.
I kind of feel at home now. I got used to the absence of proper streets, proper roofs, proper shops. I got used to walk in the street finding my way among the wild dogs in the street. I got used to the dust, the pollution and even the humidity. And, sobre todo, I got used to the cariño, which is a lot over here. In the way the students talk to me, in the way "my new family" here treats me, in the way people in Cepromup are with me and even in the way kids look at me in the street.
I love my students. I am constantly thinking if I should maybe become a teacher, because I love it. Should I? Instead of being a boring engineer.. ;-)
After so many emotions, thoughts and shocks it is time to go travelling around Perù. Inca trail to get to Macchu Picchu and then the jungle. With Peter, my best travel mate here in Perù.
Finally some pictures of VES.
Hugs to everybody.
