Zaphod, as everyone knows, is the first name of one of the characters in The Hitchicker's Guide to the Galaxy. Zaphod Beeblebrox.
Glad you are having a good time. Enjoy the farm work and stay on dry land.
Missing you.

Nany and Grandad would be so pleased - even if you didn't find his slippers up the wanganui.
Keep writing the blogs - they keep us amused. Can't wait to hear about the fruit picking

Another great blog - thanks Em! I've got a couple of days off work this week and enjoyed reading your latest adventures.
Steve & I travelled from Cairns to Brisbane when he came over to visit me on my year in Oz. It was a good trip but, like you, we definitely came across a few places we wouldn't bother to recommend to others. I'm glad you liked Brisbane as it's a place still very special to me. Every now and again on cold, damp or drizzly days here I wonder about going back ...
Where to next? You're not going to be in Melbourne on Sunday for the Open Final are you? That would be great. Hope you continue to enjoy it.

Loved hearing about your journey through Africa. I will be pleased to hear when you are safely with Jane in Australia. Have a good trip

As if the thought of you singing wasn't bad enough we now have to imagine you shuffling your bum African mama style. What a picture!! It sounds like you've had an amazing time and the school definitely appreciated having you with them.
I'm in Leighton this weekend. Mum's just received your letter and says thanks. We've just been into town for the grand Christmas lights turn on and fireworks extravaganza. The lights turn on wasn't that grand - it seemed to take three countdowns and three attempts before they got them all on! The fireworks were impressive though.
Enjoy Zanzibar. It's fantastic! Looking forward to the next tales soon.
Take care. Katie x

It's weird at school without you!
Speak soon and take care of yourself

Only having a bit of a cringe at the thought of you singing!! Proud sung to an Emma tune is a bit disturbing.
Can't believe that you time in Tanzania is nearly over or that you have managed to ration ginger biscuits. Can't wait to see your photos.
Dad and Will have just returned from Cardiff and Potter is right about the winds.

Langers! I'm loving your blogs! :) Sounds like you're having an amazing time.
I'm off to see the rest of the Bovertons at the turner residence tonight.. that is, if the Severn bridge is open. It's really stormy here at the moment and I'm a bit scared of driving in this weather eeek!
I hope your sunburn is better! Keep on blogging - I'm really enjoying your updates. Take care! xxxxx

Hi Langers,
Hope you're ok, loving your blog, they're really funny and sounds like you are having a brilliant time! And hope the sunburn isn't too bad now. Guess time is flying by and you'll be in Oz before you know it.
School is going ok, started having D of E meetings, seem to have about 25 kids doing their bronze which will be quite manic and about 5 doing their silver. Apart from that same as really, see if anything changes when Chris leaves at Xmas. Marian is leaving too which will obviously affect the 6th form quite a bit. Also setting up links with 2 schools in South Africa so will hopefully i'll get a visit there in spring. Not much else happening outside of school, SMu had her baby (a boy Henry), no more pregnancies (as yet) to report!
Well take care of yourself and look forward to more amusing blogs,
Emma x

Langers!
Loving the library story, I can imagine your calm reaction to having a chicken shoved in your face! Loving the blog and hearing what you're up to. You'll be pleased to know that the postcard has been put up next to your photo in the office and it is turning into a mini Langers shrine! Hope all is good and the sunburn isn't too bad, and the glow coming off your skin isn't keeping eveyone awake at night!
Take it easy,
Paul.

Really enjoyed your description of the library - Steve had to come and investigate what I was laughing so much about! It sounds a great idea and clearly the kids all love it. Well done!
Your relaxing weekend sounds good too. Are you going to get to Zanzibar as well? It's a wonderful place. My strangest African experience was being on a boat heading to Stone Town in Zanzibar and spotting Mikes in his Watford shirt walking along the beach.
Keep having fun! Love Katie x
PS Are you the only person in the world who takes slippers to Africa?!?!
