L & L Shenanigans
We arrived about 2:30pm. I'm sad because I know it's a short visit, but glad for the time we have together. Mom made some delicious baked chicken, some cheese tortellini, fresh cucumbers, and fresh watermelon for dinner, which we took to the park. I've been going to this park since I was 15 years old. It's still beautiful, although I think the duck population has grown 50 times over in the past few years, we had to stop for several minutes to let the duckies pass. As we sat a storm started brewing, and we enjoyed the breeze as long as we could before the rains started. This stop is especially bittersweet for me (Lena). My parents are in the final stages of moving to Texas, so this will be the last time I stay in the house I called home for many years. There were many great memories made in this house, but it's a positive step into the future for my parents.
