Today we took a hop on/hop off bus tour of Barcelona! It was a great way to get from place to place and see the sights! In the afternoon we had a walking tour of places Picasso worked and lived in Barcelona, and concluded the tour with a visit to the Picasso museum. We went back to our somewhat scary hotel, changed, then left for our tapas tour and flamenco show! Our tourguide, Nil, was great and so was the Portuguese elderly couple that joined us on the tour. While they didn't speak much English, the two of them were a hoot! The lady reminded me a lot of my grandma. The tapas were obviously phenomenal, and on our last stop out of all the tapas places in all of Barcelona (trust me, there are thousands) we run into the sister from Maryland from the tour the previous night! We decided it was clearly fate we run into each other again! They were so sweet and even sent us an order of croquettas, which they knew were our fave, to our table! Americans are great! After that we headed to the Flamenco show! It was so beautiful and cool, if only God had blessed me with rhythm... After the show ended you'll never guess who we ran into as we literally exited the theater we were in... the couple from Boston from our walking trip the day before, and the expecting parents from Philadelphia also from the wine tasting the night before! We all hugged and were so happy to have re-encountered each other! We took several pictures with the Portuguese couple, at their request. Then set off for an Irish Pub recommended to us by Nil. It was a great day in Barcelona!
