Today I spent the morning wandering Rome alone before heading to class. I walked in and out of several shops, deciding italian fashion isnt really for me, then found a really cool bookstore! It was so funny seeing 50 Shades of Grey, The Help, Bridget Jones, the Sisterhood fo the Traveling Pants, all of Dan Browns novels, and Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone! I also stumbled upon the travel section and was happy to see several books about florida, each of which listed must see places in my hometown and talked about UF! After checking out, I walked out the door and realized I was staring across the street at the Theater of Pompey, the death place of Julius Caesar. You read that right, I spent my morning at a bookshop overlooking the death place of one of Rome's most famous emperor. It definitely put into perspective the caliber of this trip. Yes, I miss the luxeries of home, but no where else in the world can you go to a bookstore and see such an important landmark just through the window! I am so blessed!
