Amsterdam catch up I did not have a chance to write day by day things for Amsterdam (mostly because we had no way of charging our electrical equipment, so here's the catch up… We stayed in Camp Zeeburg, which was a really good location, only 10-15 minutes tram ride from city centre, it was good except it cost 80cents for a 7 minute shower and when I washed my hair for the first time there I ran out of time and had no extra coins so I had to leave conditioner ...

Today we ventured out of Berlin to Oranienburg to Sachsenhausen, the first of the many concentration camps run by Nazi’s (1931-1945) and later run by the Soviet Union (1945-1950), then later re open as a commemorative museum. It’s a very eerie place to be and is very disturbing to read of some of the stories that occurred within those very walls, they have rooms set up as they were during the wars and stories from people that survived.

Today we went on the free walking tour of Berlin, we went past the holocaust memorial, saw the remainder of the Berlin wall and memorials for some of the people who were killed trying to escape and cross the borders. After the tour, we went to the parliament house, which has a glass roof and you can walk above and see the politicians. Today we left Amsterdam and headed for Berlin, It took us 10 hours by bus to get there, so that was really all we did this day
