Today we went on the free walking tour of Berlin, we went past the holocaust memorial, saw the remainder of the Berlin wall and memorials for some of the people who were killed trying to escape and cross the borders.
After the tour, we went to the parliament house, which has a glass roof and you can walk above and see the politicians. The whole house represents the openness of the government and to ensure the mistakes of the countries past do not reoccur, it was pretty cool, it’s a spiral ramp all the way to the top and it was a pretty nice view once we got up there.
