Today we took a walking tour through Prague, we started in the old town square and saw the Powder Tower, the only remaining medieval gate into Prague, we also saw the astronomical clock chime, apparently after the guy had finished building it, the council poked his eyes out so it would always be one of a kind.
We also walked through the Jewish Quarters and saw a Jewish cemetery, there was such little space for the cemetery that after a while, they had to start stacking graves on top of each other, so when you look at the tombstones, they are really high up because they have several names on them, we then walked over to see the lovers lock bridge (couples engrave their names on locks and put them on the side of this bridge), we then saw the John Lennon wall (when he died they started putting painting on this wall, and for years, the police would paint over it, but one day the people won and now people can paint stuff on it (usually has to be something hippy-like, such as world peace/Love etc).
After the tour we walked along the Charles Bridge over to the Prague Castle to see the Gardens and a little bit of the Castle itself, it was absolutely massive. While we were there, it started pouring down rain so we then had to walk back, by the time we got back to the hostel we were drenched, so we had a hot shower and went and drank some beer.
