Well you could feel the excitement of the World Cup at the Perth Airport. So many of the passengers on our flight were decked out in their rugby gears, including one old dude who had a pen that played the haka. I'm pretty sure he played it to EVERYONE on the flight! The flight was awesome because it was so quick, we left maybe 10 minutes late but arrived 30 minutes early. And if you hadn't realised the RWC was happening, Auckland Airport definitely let you know, RWC memorabilia everywhere. But I can't complain, I managed to pick up an ABs jumper for $45 cheaper than what I was going to pay in Aussie, thanks duty free!
In true NZ style we stepped outside and were greeted by wind and rain and cold!! So after we did the mission from Auckland to Hamilton, it was inside to spend the rest of the day by the fire, catching up on sleep.
Off to the basketball tomorrow, and then friday is our first rugby game, NZ vs Japan, YEAH!!!!!!!!
