Banff - Job seeking and accommodation hunting

We have spent our first couple of days in Banff not sight but exploring employment opportunities at the local ski resorts.

On our third day in Banff we went to Canmore to organize our SIN numbers so as we could work. The town of Canmore is bigger than Banff but is just as beautiful.

Kyle managed to score an interview at GS Showcase that day (GS Showcase is a snowboard shop), he got the job. The same day I got a phone call from Sunshine Village offering me a position as a cashier. We were both really excited that we had managed to secure jobs… now all we will have to do is find somewhere to live.

Kyle and I have been hunting around town for some snowboard gear for the both of us. I am really excited I FINALLY OWN A SNOWBOARD! Next mission is to learn how to ride it!

I have started work at Sunshine Village and I am loving it. We are living at a B & B in Banff so I have to travel by bus to the mountain base everyday then up the gondola. The early mornings have been so hard having to get out of bed when it's still dark and I have still not adjusted to the cold gondola rides.

I have been offered accommodation on hill which is great, however I have been working really hard at trying to get Kyle a job on the mountain so as we can live together and have been told that he should have a position in the coming week.
