So I haven't posted in a few days. I'll begin with the Welcome Party that the Marino students threw us. The Irish are big on the spontaneous musical moments. And usually I am too. They asked us to sing " American" songs. We realized we know only the chorus to 'New York, New York,' 'Born in the USA,' 'Sweet Home Alabama,' 'A New York Minute,' and plenty of other songs we should know by heart. We had our fifteen minutes of fame though as we stood up and belted at the top our lungs. We also did the hop on hop off bus tour. We went to a museum that houses the bog bodies of dead kings perserved in peat. Very cool, it makes their skin into rainbow colored leather. We also went to Guiness. Which is like 5 levels of coolness. With admission you get a pint to drink in the sky bar which is a glass room that overlooks all of Dublin. Each glass panel has a different Joyce quote about the area it overlooks. Our movie theater is working out well. We opened an account down the street and have rented a dozen movies already and we all pile downstairs in pillows and blankets to watch the movies. Its become clear drinking is too expensive to do every night so movie nights are good.
