So off we went on our way to Croatia. Was a lil sad to be leaving Italy behind but knowing I will be back in a few weeks made things easier. The drive into Krk Island was a beautiful one. We followed the Adriatic Sea all the way along until we reached Krk. Our resort was definitely something else and as soon as I put my bags down I was pretty much in my swimmers and ready for a dip in the pool as well as the sea. The pool was incredible and also had a really cool slide that we all went on a few too many times! We then made our way to the sea water which was literally a few more steps away from the pool and spent most of the afternoon floating around and playing with Kitty. (Kitty being the Hello Kitty ball I bought at a service stop somewhere in Italy) reluctantly we made our way to the restaurant to have an all you can eat buffet meal then wasted no time to hit up the sea then pool before we got kicked out for being in the pool after hours. After a shower we just headed downstairs to the bar and had a few cocktails. An early morning swim with Will was the best way to spend the morning in Croatia. After breakfast it was time to head to the dive shop to prepare for my first ever dive. After a short briefing we jumped in the back of this old van and made our way to a secluded beach to begin our dives. Spent the first half and hour snorkeling around the cove until it was my turn for the dive. I didn't know how I would go with the ear equalizing and the whole breathing under water thing but I can now say it was definitely one of the coolest things I have ever done! The whole experience was amazing and something I definitely have to do again! After spending a couple more hours at this beach the dive guys dropped us back at the resort and we made our way to the bar to get some lunch then it was time to hit the pool where we stayed for the rest of the afternoon. Many a game was had with Kitty (keep it up and a very competitive game of Volleyball with an imaginary net. The One Handed Divas smashed the boys!)
Again, we reluctantly made our way to our rooms to get ready for dinners at the NoNo where I had the most amazing pizza then we headed into the old town to get gelato, do some shopping and take in the night atmosphere of the old town center. It was ridiculously hot (32 degrees at 11pm) so when we got bank to the resort Laurentina and I decided to hit the sea. The next morning we had a super late start so I got up had some breakfast and headed straight for the pool. Got some swim time in before I headed back to the room to pack up and check out before heading into town for some shopping and lunch. A great lazy way to end a memorable time on Krk Island, Croatia. xox
