It has certainly been a long time since I updated my blog. When last I wrote, I was touring the country with The Wedding Singer national tour. Since then I've been back to Alaska, traveled the west coast for almost a month, worked at the Bryant Park Christmas Market selling Silly Puppets, performed in a Wee Bit 'O the Irish with the Chatham Theater Company, and returned from my third summer in The Days of '98 Show with Soapy Smith. It's been a busy year and a half.
I spent the past three weeks in Cleveland visiting my parents and generally regrouping my life. I've decided to apply to graduate programs in musical theater and had to really batten down the hatches and make sure that all of my applications were complete and submitted.
I was also able to spend quite a bit of time with my best friend from high school Faith and her family. It was espeically exciting to go with her for the ultra sound of the new baby they're expecting in February. In addition, I took Soapy, my one and a half year old American Pointer to both Levels and Agility classes at Canine Affair in Chesterland OH. My mom teaches the levels class and I think she's a great teacher. Rob and Anna who teach agility are also great! Soapy always has a good time at class.
Being in Cleveland for so long allowed me to finally clear out my bedroom and apartment stuff that's been in the basement for four years. It feels good to think that I finally have an idea of what I own and where it belongs.
Now that I'm back in NY, I'm spending the next few days trying to catch up with people before I start selling puppets again. Tonight was especially enjoyable since Noel, Michael and I went out for dinner and then went to Carnegie Hall to see Audra McDonald in concert. It was a breathtaking experience! It was also great to see our friend Andy Einhorn, who musical directs and play piano for her, following the show.
Tomorrow I need to get some groceries and I'm getting my haircut. After that I'm planning to meet some friends in Central Park. It should be a great day!
