This morning the dads and daughters got up before dawn to try our skills at Lake George while the wives got some much deserved rest. Got to the inlet on the back side of the lake as planned. There was only one other fisherwoman in the area. The area is smokey because of a wild fire outside of Yosemite but you still cant beat ther beauty of Lake George first thing in the morning. We never made it to the valley floor to visit the falls and devils post pile. There is a fire west of mammoth effecting the air quality so we turned back. Ended up relaxing around the campsite. We tried fly fishing again at Lake Mary and got skunked again! Ending the night with some rib eyes and adult beverages. We will try the falls again tomorrow.

This year we are spending a week in Mammoth Lakes Ca with our friends the Hammings. This will be their first time in Mammoth so it looks like I will be playing cruise director:) We discussed leaving early to beat the traffic and the heat of driving through the desert and because the sunrise driving through the scenic by-way is TL's favorite.
