Finally unter den Bloggern..
This is only going to be a very short entry, and I haven't really decided yet which language I will it write in. Since my family and some of my friends would clearly prefer it in German, whereas my danish side would have a hard time understanding it..
Anyway, here are some pictures (though still in a random order) from our trip through the country before the university started.
We were in Seoul for three days, then took a bus to Gyeongju, the ancient Silla capital. From there we took another bus - the bus system is really advanced as long as you stick to the common routes- to Busan, the second largest city in South Korea with the largest habour. From there we went to Tongyong and made a day trip to Yeonwha, a small Island nearby, on my Birthday.. And as a Birthday present a Korean family drove us around the island, showing us all the sights. From Tongyong we went to Gwanju, another city in the south, but not the coast, and had two good days perfectly balanced with hiking and shopping ;)
From Gwnaju we went to Wando, another port city from which we took the 3 hours ferry to Jejudo. The ferries are really funny, because there are no seats. There are only certain carpet areas with people lying and sitting around, eating and drinking. By mistake, we got into a huge group, maybe family, that had all kinds of food with them sharing it with us.
Thats the strange thing about koreans, they are so rude on the streets, bumping into you, pushing -but once you talk to them, they are the nicest people doing everything to help you..
Anyway, once on Jejudo we met with Päivi, the Finnish girl from CBS that was traveling around Japan before meeting us on the Honeymoon Island. On the Island we enjoyed the beach, and hiked up the Hallasan vulcano and went to different places, but many we were just recovering from the last two weeks of traveling and changing locations. And after 5 days we took the airplane back to Seoul, where we started school they day after..
But more on that tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow :)
I will also add some more details to the different places with the photos..
Night night and greetings from the hot Seoul (28,5C)
