Well, where do I start telling about this 50th wedding anniversary adventure of ours? There is so much to tell and if you are reading this I can assure you that I will do my best to try and give you a verbal "photo" of Korea. Murray and I arrived at Incheon airport in Seoul after 19 hours in the air, spread over three flights. Our friends Kyunghan Park and Keun Ok Kang were there to meet us and all our tiredness melted away. It was so good to see them again. They will be referred to as the K's from here on in. The four of us took a shuttle bus to the hotel an hour away and we checked in. The General Manager of the hotel came to greet us in the lobby and we learned later that it was his day off, but he came in anyway. The GM, a desk clerk that seems to have been assigned to us, and our friends all went up to our room, oh yes, and the luggage, but that went in a separate elevator! Everything in the room was explained to us in great detail and then we had a tour of the area where the breakfast buffet would be served. I guess it's not every day that the Mayor of Quispamsis visits their hotel! They certainly put their best foot foward and made us feel very welcome. Went for a short walk outside just to stretch our cramped legs and then headed for bed. We are thrilled to finally be in Korea after talking about it for years.
