Hi Everyone!

I made it here safely although have never been so happy to get off a plane in my life. In theory, it should have been a good one, we got given extra legroom seats on the flight to Dubai and then had a row of 4 seats between the two of us on the second leg. However, on the night flight my seat refused to go back due to the feet that had been placed on it from behind and then the occasional kick in the back from said feet! We managed to find a place in Dubai airport that would take GBP so had our first holiday drink in a traditional Irish pub (established 1756) in Dubai Airport! :P

The second flight would have been a lot better if I hadn't got travel sick. I made the most of the extra space though and managed to get a few hours sleep. Once we got to the airport we managed to get though security with no problems and got to our guesthouse pretty quickly. After a quick shower it was back out to explore the famous Kaho San Road and check out the best places to spend the next couple of evening before a well deserved early night!

Today we went for a stroll around and find somewhere to get a map! We got stopped by an English teacher correctly obseved that we were new travellers because we were so pale! We've been informed that in two weeks we should blend in with everyone else! :) After being told all the best places to visit that were free today and even hailing us a tuk tuk we managed to get away! ;) We've got our map ready now to do our walking tour of Bangkok tomorrow and start getting some photos. And we have just found the best cafe with air conditioning and free wifi down one of the side streets so will be spending the next couple of hours here before moving next door for a foot massge and then eating our way down Khao San road for dinner! :D
