Hi Everyone!!
There is so much to talk about and we have only been for 2 days. After 23 hours of basically non-stop flights and almost having our luggage left in Korea, we finally made it to the KK. We had a little adjusting to do on the first night. There are geckos in the house that just crawl all over the place Its actually a good thing for us because the geckos eat mosquitos. Jon & I are used to them now:) The next day we were able to go to the marketplace where they sell fake Coach purses, souvenirs, animals and was pretty fun to try and bargain in Malay.
It was a very memorable night for me, because it was the first time that I met my grandmother and needless to say it was a very emotional night. A lot of things were said that I will never forget and I believe even more that nothing can replace the time spent with family. Its something that I never had so it was pretty special and I'm so glad to have Jon here to hold me up...I can't really explain what I felt but that's a different story.
Today we went to the mall where I met up with my friends who I have not seen for 13 years. I recognized them right away and I spent time catching up them for a few hours at the mall. My aunt let Jonny drive the truck today. I know it doesn't sound special, but he had the hardest time to get used to driving on the left side and driving on roads that are opposite from our roads back home. My aunt expects me to try and drive but I really don't think I can. haha Anyways, my uncle is going to let Jonny ride a motorcycle next week so let's see how he does on this terrain.
Kota Kinabalu is beautiful, so is her home and meeting all my relatives will make this trip even more memorable
