Today we went out snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef. We met the boat at the marina and headed out. We had to motor about one hour to the low isles. It was a very secluded and we were able to go right off the beach. There was a giant clam garden that was beautiful. There were both hard and soft corals. Every color of the rainbow. Also every shape of fish. There was a sea turtle that mom saw before we were even in the water. I saw a black tip reef shark about 4 foot long. We then saw a moray eel. It was just beautiful, you just cannot fully express the wonder of the reef. The island we were off of was nice too. Very small but virtually untouched by man. There were all kinds of birds flying around. We met some other people from Minnestoa on the cruise. They were from Hutchinson. At the end of the cruise we set sail back to the port. We came back and it started pouring rain. We were sure happy that didn't happen while we were on the reef. Hope tomorrow is clear so we can go jungle surfing.
