Hey everyone. Just got back from frazer island yesterday and spent last night on a coach so i am somewhat sleepy.

Frazer was really awesome in some ways and really hard in others. We spent a lot of the time in a 4x4 on sandy bumpy,dirt tracks because there are no real roads. So now i have a sore bum. Plus it rained at the most irritating times. when we were putting the tents up, cooking dinner or on the beach. Plus there were great white sharks in the sea so we couldn't swim.

But the good points, our group was lovely. We did our group shopping the night before and we really bonded. 2 from norway, 1 from sweden, 1 from ireland, 2 from switzerland, 2 from the netherlands and 1 from canada. We wen to 4 freshwater lakes, all beautiful, 1 with tea tree oil in it so it was the colour of honey and cleansed your skin. Another lake was at the bottom of a massive sand dune, i ran down it, some rolled down and then dived straight in the lake. It was awesome. Bit of a struggle getting back up again though. Jo drove the 4x4, very well i might add, she only got stuck once and just needed a shove to get her out. one of the other cars didn't put into 4wd mode and so only had power to the front wheels and they got stuck loads. We over took the other cars on a couple of occasions so the other groups didn't really like us.

cooking for 11 people is really hard, washing up is even harder. We had no running water, no toilet, just 4 tents and our car. So i washed up next to a petrol station in a small town. It's a very thankless job and there was no where to get clean. We didn't shower for 3 days.

Last night when we got back to the resort we had mexican dinner with the others from our group before going to get our coach, it was really nice.

In a couple of hours we go to whitsundays, hope that is as much fun as frazer, and i hope i get a shower.

Thank you for all your news, i actually got a professional picture taken holding a koala. I will send it home soon. Auntie helen, wouldn't recommend holding one, they have really sharp claws and they poop everywhere. It is a nice picture though.
