So, herewith another quick update....
After leaving KL we made our 6 hour journey to the Cameron Highlands, which were stunning. It was much cooler which was a relief! We spent two nights there.
After arriving we took a walk around the town - not very big at all, and they had this weird statue of Vegetables on a prime hill top location - very funny, so took plenty of photies of it!
For our full day we did the full day tour option on offer at the place we stayed at - Father's Guesthouse (which was an excellent place to stay by the way) - which was a full day out checking out the main attractions in the Cameron Highlands.
First it was a hike up to the World's third largest flower - which was pretty cool (enjoyed a very bumpy and slippery 4x4 ride up to the starting point).
Second was to visit a little villiage, which wasn't so cool - every one just kinda stares at you and then all the toursits go around and take photo's of their private life, which we don't like at all. But we did get shown a demonstration on how their hunting is done - with a long blow pipe thing. How aim the blow pipe and then blow in to the hole and a dart shoots out. Then we all git a turn to try.
Third was a visit to the Tea Farms - really beautiful and great tea
Finally was a walk through the Mossy forst - which was absolutely stunning - have a look at the photies.
The next day we journeyed for 8 hours to Taman Nagara - a National Park. Well, a National Park in Asian terms....it is actually owned by a private company, which pretty much means, that even though it is a National Park, people can still pretty much do what they want...there were masses of baots including JET SKI's on the river!
Anyway, we still had a good time - we met a very cool German couple who we did a day trip to the rapis with..on the way up we saw a monkey, which was either a gibbon or an orangutan, a water lizard thing and PLENTY of leeches! Eeuw!
We are now in Melaka. Staying at the most gorgeous little guesthouse - kinda has the feeling of Eugene's place in Wynberg. The owner is so chilled and relaxed and we can pretty much kick back and call the place "home". Just chilling out for a bit and then going to check out the little town.
Ciao for now.
