Hey!!!

(excuse the picture... I can assure you the Whitsundays are FAR more beautiful than that!!!)

Hope everyone is ok... and still finding our blogs interesting!!

Want to say Happy Mother's day to everyone... especially our mummies!! (Gloria and Wendy)

Also Happy Birthday to Emma and Lucy!! Hope you both have/had a great day!!!

AND... Hello to everyone one else!!! :)

Right..... So what have we been up to?? We left Cairns wednesday (18th) eventually, as our driver decided the bus needed a wash.. before picking up a group of dirty backpackers!!! Interesting!!! On the way we went on a random bush walk and got eaten by flies... then we stopped at a crocodile farm (as you can see from our photos) which was AMAZING!!! We held baby crocs, Snakes and fed Kangaroos!! We also watched the mad men teasing the crocs with food, run for their lives and eventually feed them.. think the guys fancied themselves as the next Steve Irwin!! haha!!

Then we arrived in Mission Beach. The quietest place on earth!!! This is when we got our first taste of australia as we were greeted by bugs and lizards... everywhere!!! We stayed there 2 days... I honestly can't tell you anymore about what we did... as we simply did nothing but chill out!!!

Then... on Friday (20th) we left Mission Beach and went to Townsville. This was a really nice place. We went on a day trip to Magnetic Island where we held more crocs, lizards, BIRDS, Pythons and Koala bears, (you know the usual day to day things!!!) at a place called Bungalow Bay Koala Village!!! Now... I (kirsty) HATE birds... they are the most horrible creatures... so it was quite an achievment!! When we manage to get the photos up.. you will also see some quite amusing photos of me and the snake, which took a shining to me.. and rather than helping.. craig decided to take photos!! The lovely boy that he is!! :)

Magnetic Island is beautiful... and very hot!!

In Townsville we went to an amazing place called Reef HQ. its a massive aquarium. its the largest living reef hand reared by humans... but its natural... they just ensure the rebirth of more corals. We saw all the fish and sharks that we saw when diving, so we both found it really interesting listening to all the talks and presentations. We also went into a imax theatre and watched 'Deep Sea' Narrated by Kate Winslet and Johnny Depp.

Soooooo.... Now we are staying in Airlie Beach, the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands! They are supposed to be one of the most beautiful sights we can witness in Australia. We are going on a day trip on Wednesday, which envolves a tour of the Islands and another scuba dive!! :) we are really excited and don't worry... we have been to the chemist and stocked up on travel sickness tablets so craig should be ok!!!

Right... thats all for now!! Hope everyone is ok!!! 1month and 1days till we come home!! although I think we are hoping the 24th April never comes!! ( as much as we are looking forward to seeing you all)
