Well i know it's been a long time coming but i'm finally writting somethings about my travels!!
As your all aware i started off in Sydney, which was amazing. When we flew in i was lucky enough to have a window seat in business class ( thats right business class people) which went over the Opera House & the Harbour Bridge. Think i gasped a few times, was so excited.
Got to my hostel which was in the centre of Sydney so it was a great location. People were very friendly. Was abit scared i must say as i was on my own & didn't know where to start or who to talk to. But that night a just crashed out, was so tired from 23hr flight.
So my first full day in Sydney was bizarre, couldn't believe i was there. My first trip i walked to the Darling Harbour, it was beautiful as you can see in a couple of my pics. Walked around there then went into the Aquarium. Saw some sharks, but who wouldn't in Aus!!! After i took the ferry to the Opera House. The ferry trip was lovely. As we turned the corner there was the Harbour Bridge, i had to pinch myself. It was mad seeing it right in front of me, just had a massive smile on my face. Then once you see that then the Opera House is in the distance & thats what everyone comes to see!! I mean you see it in magazines & on holiday tv shows but you can't appreciate it until its right infront of you. Its amazing.
That day i just walked around taking in everything. Met a guy called Ryan at the Opera House. Thats the best part about traveling you just chat to anyone & bump into anyone. Ryan was staying with a mate in Sydney but was traveling alone. He just came up & started chatting. He was from Kent.
Following day i met my new roomie Noreen aka Nora the Explorer! Also i met my partner in crime Tracy. That Thursday night we had our first proper night out in Sydney, good old Scruffy Murphys!! Got back about 6am not before doing a detour to Hungry Jacks. Apparently i was amazed that they had microphones to shout the orders out, Tracy said i asked the guy behind the counter if i could have ago but i was refused :((
The next few days we just hanged about. On the Friday me, Tracy & Ryan went to Bondi Beach. The day started off sunny & was perfect then about just after lunch the heavens opened & the rain came. It was like a massive storm for a good 2 hours. We were all soaked, but for some reason it didn't realy bothered us that we looked like crap!!
That night we went to Kings Cross, it was an experience i must say...! We met a couple of girls that Tracy met on her flight out here. We went to The World Bar, which was cool. They served drinks out of tea-pots which was interesting. Walking the streets of Kings Cross was once again an experience. As its full of strip clubs, live sex shows etc...& hookers wondering the streets. Walked past a couple of random places for example there was Porkies, Bah Lah Bing..
The Saturday went to Manly. Went with Tracy, Noreen & Claire. Manly was a lovely place, the beach was beautiful. The weather was hot that day too which was a bonus. Had a few nice bars there along the harbour. Would love to go back there.
The Monday & Tuesday me & Tracy went to the Blue Mountains. Was really looking forward to it but the weather ruined it for us. We couldn't see half of things we wanted to. The Mountains & forests were covered with mist & rain. We saw some wild kangaroos but we were attacked by flies though. Flies are the most annoying little creatures EVER!! We met a scottish lass called Laura she was abit mental. As it was raining so much me & Tracy had to buy these gorgeous rain macs we looked the business!! We didn't see the 3 Sisters, they were there but they were covered in mist! Went on the deepest mine railway, Tracy was holding on to my hand for dear life bless her. Was fun doing that but they didn't have much safety support, we could of easily just of sliped out. The hostel we stayed was lovely but abit like a hospital in some ways. The town was very odd, can't remember the name of it but it was the most weirdest palce i've ever been. We went for meal about 8:30 & there was no-one about, the streets were deserted. It was like something out of a horror movie or something. Anyway we had a lovely Thai meal. Left there & we legged it to the supermarket as we were scared that vampires or zombies were going to jump out on us. Got to the entrance of the supermarket & there was a 70year old TRANNY!! Seriously we were all in shock. This guy had bright red lippy on, purple hair & had a hangbag to match. It was one of those moments where you had to of been there. I know it's not nice to laugh at someone but i've never laughed so much!! Don't think none of us have. So the Blue Mountains was an experience to say the least. Next day the weather was pants again so i got out my Ann Summers playing cards ( CHEERS LISA ) all the girls thought i was some perv i think. These cards were full on, i thought they were just pics of men but far from it!! So whenever i get these cards out i have to explain that my best mate got them for me.
On the Wednesday i had to checkout & go to Bondi, had the biggest hangover! But had the best night ever the night before! Went to this bar called Establishment, it was nice as it was a backpackers friendly place. Was full of business men & women & there was us lot looking casual as anything. Met some fab people that night.
So went to Bondi for 8 nights, hostel wasn't all that but i guess you have to take the good with the bad when traveling right????!! Met some wicked Irish girls there. Did the Bondi to Coogee walk a couple of times, took 2hours there & back but it's so worth it. The views are stunning from the cliff tops. You also walk through the most expsensive graveyard in Aus. Back home all graveyards are eery etc..but this one was beautiful, i could see why it costs to get buried there. Forgot, my first full day in Bondi i went to Bondi Junction where they have all the shops & shopping centres. Theres me walking through the shopping la la la....next thing i slip over, bag goes flying, had my short denim mini skirt on so god knows what people saw, it was so embarrassing. I had alot of people come up to me asking me i was ok, i just wanted to run!! Had the biggest bruise on my thigh, was not pretty :( After 3 days in Bondi i was ready to move on. I mean i still went to the city to see Tracy & Claire though. Claire was a girl who stayed in my room back in Sydney, crazy chick she is, got to love her!!!!!!BANANAS!!!
Sydney was amazing, had the best time there & i'm definately going back! Have to anyway on the 1st March as my gal pal Cindy coming over YEAH BABY!
